Okoume and flame maple combine for a rich tone
The right tonewoods will set the tonal foundation for how a guitar will sound plugged in. For the AR420, Ibanez added a flame maple top to an okoume body. At the end of the day, the Flame maple doesn't just look beautiful, it enhances the rich tonality and sustain you receive from of the okoume body. The result is an absolutely powerful sound that can sound warm and soulful or aggressive and biting when you match it up with the appropriate amplifier.
Sonic flexibility from Tri-sound electronics
